There is a setting in the Audio Properties which says Jack. When it asks if you want to remove other essential files say no. Check the Add and Remove Programs in the CP and remove the Audio Manager Software.
I restarted PC and then i installed drivers from cd. Yes, you can uninstall the whole bundle and then let the rig startup and itll install just the drivers for the audio device. Then i removed my old drivers by deleting 'Audio' folder: 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Realtek\Audio' and all contents. Took me quite a bit to figure it all out on my own and Asus support was just a joke no phone help at all with the people I talked to having not even the slightest clue or knowledge and via email make me wait 3 days to then not even pay attention to my problem correctly and respond with useless info. Luckily i had motherboard config CD where i had realtek drivers and i copied them to folder on my desktop. And it should all work then without that stupid overlay. After it's installed (should reboot once automatically then continue installing then reboot again) after it's all installed you should now have Asus Sonic studio so you can boot it up toggle all the overlays to off then uninstall the program if you want.
Tick only the realtek audio driver then click install, this will then replace your audio driver and install Sonic studio 3. Got the drivers that were on the DVD that came with the motherboard, just run the setup.exe, then go to the drivers tab. Install the chipset drivers first, reboot the PC and then install the correct sound driver. have to remove the entire ASUS Sonic Suite (but not the ASUS/Realtek drivers). Was able to solve the problem, here's what I did. Do I need Realtek HD Audio Manager How do I install Realtek HD Audio.
